This esteemed recognition aligns with the objectives of the newly declared Second International Decade for People of African Descent, as announced by the United Nations, aiming to celebrate and advance the significant contributions made by people of African descent globally.
Jonathan Olufowobi, Chief Executive Officer of MIPAD, expressed enthusiasm about this year's list, emphasizing the organization's mission to elevate the accomplishments of individuals of African descent worldwide. "Our initiative serves to promote the narrative of Black success stories, shining a light on the remarkable endeavors and victories of African descendants in various sectors, including the youth, those in less expected roles and those high-ranking positions".
